We are pleased to share the publication of our Preferred Options Announcement for the Suffolk Water Recycling, Transfer and Storage Project. The Preferred Options Announcement explains how feedback from our Winter 2025 Early Consultation has been considered alongside further engineering, environmental, planning and land assessments as the Project has developed.
All of the feedback has been carefully reviewed by our engineering, environmental, land and planning teams, and has actively informed pipeline corridor refinement, site selection, and ongoing environmental assessments.
The document identifies the land parcels and pipeline corridors being progressed because they provide the strongest overall balance of considerations at this stage. These are preferred options, not the final design. Further surveys, environmental assessment, design development and engagement will continue before Main Consultation. This document provides an overview of the plans, the methodology employed to reach this stage, and the design refinements and next steps that will follow.
